Reasons why having a morning person boyfriend is dreadful but at the same time amazing

“I will never be a morning person, for the moon and I are too much in love.”

Have you ever read this quote before? If I would have to describe myself in to a quote, this would suit me best. I am a certified night owl. I love sleeping and be lazy in the morning (I mean, who doesn’t?) and do my stuff late at night. Snuggling my pillow under my warm covers is the perfect morning for me, until my alarm clock goes on signaling that time’s up and I have to be ready for my work at 8:00AM. That’s my routine every Monday to Saturday. Rising early is very hard for me–a torture–but I have to because I have to make a living. Adding to my torture is my boyfriend (whenever he’s there) pestering me to wake up even if my alarm clock hasn’t alarmed yet. He is a morning person, and in contrast to me, he feels at best in the morning. And that’s what I hate about him… sometimes.

Here are my reasons why having a morning person boyfriend is dreadful:

1.   Waking up before your alarm clock goes on and tells me to wake up
This is the major reason why I’m grumpy in the morning at times. I mean, doesn’t he get it why I set up my alarm clock before I go to bed at night? Geez. He would pester me saying “Wake up or you’ll be late again today!” (in most cases this is true, I am a chronic latecomer) and wouldn’t stop annoying me (includes shaking my body, pulling the blanket and let the cold air cloak me, tickling) until I get up. At least my alarm clock gives me 5 minutes snooze time.

2.       He expects me to be in a good mood for jokes in the morning
Sometimes even eating breakfast is a torture. When I feel like I lacked 5 minutes of sleep, I will be not in the mood to eat… or talk. And then this boyfriend would be eating happily beside me, discussing those funny events he had seen on TV, or at work, or everywhere. When I’m in a bad mood, I am in a bad mood. He knows this yet he still would keep on talking and when he sees me spacing out, he would elbow me and then I have to change my grumpy look and force a smile just so he would stop.

3.       Night activities makes him sleepy
Because he wakes up early, he feels sleepy even at 6:00PM. By this time, I am already pumped up. I don’t watch movies alone so he has to watch it with me. Most of the time when I look at him beside me, he’s already fast asleep (and I don’t get to finish the movie). If I wake him up (we brush our teeth together), it leads to reason #4.

4.       He forces me to sleep early
He nags and scolds me for not sleeping early. I already have my mother to do this for me, so really, it’s annoying.

However, sometimes having a morning-person beside you can be amazing. Here are my reasons why:

1. I am never late whenever he’s there to wake me up
Because I woke up earlier than my alarm clock. And as a person who is chronically late, not being late for work (our company isn’t that strict regarding tardiness—until lately) can sometimes make my day.

2.       Breakfast is already served
I hate cooking as much as I hate mornings, and having a boyfriend who enjoys cooking for you especially in a hectic morning is… heaven.

3.       Nighttime is me-time
Because he is already asleep usually as early as 8:00PM, I get to do some me-time girl stuffs like writing my diary, updating my blog, doing my nails, plucking my armpits, etc. without having to worry about irking him at the grossest girl stuffs we girls do.

4.       Sometimes I get a full 8-10 hours of sleep
Because I want him to shut up every time he starts scolding me for still up at ten fucking o’clock, I obey him and sleep. But even getting a whole night’s sleep can’t energize me in the morning of next day, but at least it doesn’t make me sleepy and tired the whole day.

5.       Mornings—when he’s there—aren’t that horrible anymore
He makes mornings easier for me. And the best part? When I’m still in bed and he snuggles behind me and whispers ‘I love you” in my ear. I don’t know if he knows that I’m half awake when he does that though, but it makes my morning wonderful.

But whatever he may be, I love him just the way he is.

Meet My New Partner-in-crime!♥

Last March 4, 2015, me and my hubby celebrated our 7th anniversary. We were supposed to be going out on a date or vacation in a resort but the week before that, I was admitted to the hospital and was diagnosed with bronchial asthma. Due to my health condition, we couldn't proceed with the plan. I can't also file a leave of absence because I have already had my sick leave taken a whole week before that. It was a bit disappointing because we had planned about that for months and it would turn out like that. So I worked on that day as usual, and my hubby went to process his papers in the city hotel he was having an internship for.

Afternoon came and there I saw my hubby at the gate entrance bringing a gift wrapped in red. I was sure it was for me, I just didn't expect that he would give me one. So he told me to open it and "you must use it tonight, okay?" So I thought he must be giving me a lingerie set? HAHAHA! But when I shook the box, it sounded hard like inside was a book or album, so I'm guessing it was a book. He was grinning widely and said that I should open it fast. He was taking a video of me the whole time while grinning like a Cheshire cat.

Words hardly came into my mouth as I gasped at the marvelous thing wrapped inside that gift. It was a drawing pad. A Wacom Intuos Manga that I've been dreaming of acquiring since high school. I was really surprised in seeing that. He made my dream come true. He believed in my talent. And for that, I will forever be grateful for him. He supported me even though he was constantly criticizing my drawings haha, that idiot. What a tsundere. Pssh.

And I thought that this is really worth a time in my blog because the effort he took for saving up the money to buy for this gadget. He has little for himself yet he thought of my welfare first. How many men are like that out there? It's a rare catch. I'm really feeling lucky to have him in my life.♥

By the way, I don't put my works/doodles in this blog, so I'll just let you peak some of them below. I'm not that good but I'm getting at it... I'm practicing and learning new tricks. The photos below are all done using Adobe Photoshop + Mouse. I drew them first in the paper, then I scanned them and traced them in Photoshop.

Tried speedpainting for the 1st time. Time: 45mins.

Glow Mori Sleeping Cream Review (+ Snail Soap & Kiss Collagen Mask)

Hello, guys! It's been a while since I've posted (I told you I'm the queen of procrastination). But today is an exception since I've been wanting to tell you guys about my most loved skin product today! Have you seen my horrible skin breakout post last year? Well, thanks to that I've found the product that has tamed and made my skin ~~to back to where it was~~ better than it was before! I've tried and experimented various skin products and was a fan of Korean products (until now).

The products I've tried from May 2014 until now:

Celeteque Hydration, Acne, and Brightening Set (yes, all the three lines!) [6-9 months]: The result was okay but it hasn't tamed my skin. There are still a few red patches and small zits every once in a while. I didn't finish the whole three line.
Laneige White Plus Renew Set [1 month]: A wonderful product for moisturizing and brightening. Sadly, I suffered cystic acne while using this. Maybe it wasn't suited for my skin. If it wasn't for that, I would have prolonged my use on this because my skin feels so moisturized during the day. It gives me the Korean dewy / fresh shower look in the morning.
Etude Wonder Pore Toner [6 months]: I haven't noticed any above normal results on this. It hasn't diminished the size of my pores, but it didn't worsen its situation either. Just so-so. Although the refreshing feeling after using it is a plus, maybe my skin has outgrown this product in the long run.
Physiogel Cream & Cleanser [1 month]: Good for moisturizing but I think it hasn't done anything to improve my skin's condition.
Obagi Renewal Set [1.5 months]: My sister introduced this to me. This has helped in improving my skin condition a lot! But I would not purchase this again because I felt like my skin has undergone a month of torture while I'm on this. Yes, torture. I just kept on chanting: No pain, no gain. Tiis ganda. My skin undergone peeling, reddening and sometimes slight burns. I've finished the clarifying toner, peeling & bleaching cream of this set. My skin has gone from dry to patchy to baby-smooth face after but there are still a few noticeable red spots left behind. I loved the effect but I don't want to undergo another torture again so I searched for other alternate products for maintenance.
